Who are the DUP? (SHOCK! Conservative Conservatives)

Re-Upped from University of Bristol. Helpful summary. The DUP's manifesto included (from Order-Order):
- To reduce the rate of Corporation Tax to at least 12.5%.
- To freeze then cut or abolish the TV licence and reform the BBC.
- To cut the VAT rate for tourism businesses.
- To abolish Air Passenger Duty.
- To establish low tax, deregulated Freeports in economically underdeveloped parts of the UK.
- To reduce the number of Government Departments and reduce the number of Special Advisors.
- To introduce a Civil Service Voluntary Exit Scheme yielding annual savings of approximately £100 million.
- To introduce alternative models of public sector service delivery such as increasing the use of social enterprises.
- To introduce a Trade Accelerator Plan including an enhanced range of initiatives to help support both new and existing exporters to explore new markets.
- To create new trade, investment and innovation hubs in key global markets.

I don't agree with many policies but there is a lot of consensus. Considering 2 years ago they were the 4th largest party in Parliament and yet they did not get to appear in the debate, whilst Greens, Plaid, UKIP and SNP did. The BBC probably hated the fact they had to include their seat count in the bottom of the screen.

The DUP could help shift the Conservatives to the right.

Don't know about you guys but I welcome them I don;t see why we shouldn't include people who are patriots! They seem to definitely love this country more than the SNP and all the other left wing lunatics.

The left seem to have a major problem with the DUP's stance on a lot of things and being propped up by them.... pity, Labour have been supporting Islam, who have the exact same stance on these issues as DUP (Albeit for differing religions), for decades.
